Another great post. That CMF phone is getting my full consideration. At a time where I think phone prices are getting out of hand, a well made device like that really catches your attention. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Jesse. I’ve been considering it too. In addition to how it looks like, I really like the idea of not needing to use a case, since you can replace the back cover.

That's a cool approach. Wasn't aware. I buy cases for my phones but it's always the thinnest one I can find. The bulk some cases add isn't for me.

Also share the sentiment when it comes to Apple's lengthening run of boring announcements.

I'm slowly exploring ways to pull myself out of the ecosystem, as other people that are innovating more deserve my attention. From what I can tell, lots of people are evaluating what their phones mean to them at the moment; it's this strange collective realisation that they might not be so good for us.

Totally agree. Recently, I was very interested in the new breed of dumb phones, for example the latest generation of the Light Phone.

Currently reading through Catherine Price's 'How to Break Up With Your Phone'.

Interesting to note how much of the phone problem is our behaviour, as much as how good phones are at manipulating our attention.

Yeah, I guess people like distractions, and especially distractions that are over engineered to keep you distracted. Thanks for the recommendation! I will check it out.
